Treatments

Massages are an ancient remedy. With targeted movements and procedures, tensions are released, the metabolism and blood circulation are stimulated. In addition to the physical effect, massages are a blessing for mind and soul.

Important to know/note:

  • Massage means relaxation. Please take your time and arrive early enough for the appointment.
  • Since I work with a lot of oil, I recommend that you bring an extra set of clothes (which may become oily) that can be worn after the treatment..
  • Allow your body to rest after the massage. Enjoy the balance and the inner happiness.
  • After the Ayurvedic massage drink warm tea, ginger water or water (not cold). The massages stimulate blood circulation and metabolism. The heat from a hot shower or hot drink flushes out the harmful substances released by the massage from your body.
  • After the massage, do not eat any rich food. Protect yourself from the wind. Cover your head in cold weather

Massages should not be performed in the event of:

  • Acute inflammation or infection
  • Common cold with severe mucus
  • High fever
  • Skin diseases
  • Traumatic injuries
  • During the first 12 weeks of pregnancy
  • On the first two days of menstruation
  • Alcohol or drug use
  • In case of doubt, please ask your doctor.

Information and procedure:

During Ayurvedic massages, the body is treated with very warm herbal oils and in an even rhythm. Depending on the treatment, an oil with a warming or cooling effect is selected. Through the strokes, the warm herbal oil can penetrate to the bones within 10 minutes and bind toxins (Ama) to itself. These dissolved toxins and waste products can be eliminated through sweat (warm showers or sauna) or through urine (warm drinks). In this way, the energy channels (nadis) and the energy centres (chakras) are cleansed so that the energies can flow harmoniously again. The massage techniques used, such as stroking, kneading, tapping, etc., also relieve tension or blockages, strengthen the immune and nervous systems and alleviate common ailments such as neck, back or headaches. There are two different stroking directions for Ayurvedic massages. The stroking with the direction of the hair has a calming and balanced effect (Anuloma). Stroking against the direction of the hair has a stimulating and invigorating effect (pratiloma).

Ayurvedic massages are not only suitable for adults and elderly people, but are also very popular among children (4-12 years) and teenagers (students, 13-18 years). For the children to strengthen the muscle and bone tissues and to calm down and for the teenagers to strengthen the tissues and build up the muscles, as well as to strengthen the inner balance and calmness in this hectic world. For children, teenagers, learners as well as full time students I offer all treatments at special prices.

In addition to their state of health, I also take into account the individual needs and expectations (massage pressure, speed, etc.) of my clients, which are discussed in a brief anamnesis (initial questionnaire) during the first consultation. In order to achieve an effective and sustainable solution, I give homework in the form of mental or physical exercise during some treatments. With my treatments, I want to help people achieve more mindfulness, inner harmony, well-being and conscious and healthy living in the long term.
